Re: KNIGHTS of Southern England
bare bones at this time
b. 1665, Glouchester, England
d. May 22, 1750 in Abington Township, Philadelphia, PA.His maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Shorter, was one of the first deeded landowners from William Penn, in Philadelphia, PA and he came over with her.He married Mary Carver April 7, 1699(she was the daughter of John and Mary Carver) from the New Brunswick Historical Society it was said that she wsa the first baby born in PA on the day they landed, and born in a cave. She was also an approved minister for her Quaker meeting house. I have his family line down to me, not as complete as I'd like as of yet, but since his maternal grandmothers surname was Shorter, his mothers maiden name would have been Shorter, and his fathers surname would be Knight. That's about all i have.
hope to hear from you soon.
