I hear you, I don't just automatically trust ancestry.com with the matching up to my tree.I have been going to my local library which has an awesome genealogical selection, and the genealogist is willing to try to bring other books in that will help along the people who are researching certain names.Slowly but surely i am learning documentation methods and so on, from other researchers in the library and online. One of the best things to me is not only being able to connect someone to my tree but being able to give the reader a sense of who they were, show them that they laughed, cried, worked, loved, and had beliefs just as we do now.In a couple of cases I've been lucky. For the people that I've known in my lifetime I try to write something in their notes, describing them, memories of times with them, or physical characteristics.I try not to see people as just names and dates and facts, but as people who really lived. Some during the greatest and most turbulent times in our history.Sorry am babbling.Good luck to you, keep me posted.Wonder if your Abraham has connections in Buckinghamshire, England or in High Wycombe, England.Am looking for Knights in that vicinity, Shorters and Sextens.
