Re: Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Knight, m. 27 Jan. 1812, New England, mar.certificate

Deborah Green, a Dole family researcher, relates that this couple married in Portland, Maine, and that Polly Dole Knight died 14 Nov 1865 in Westbrook, Maine (and her husband Daniel Knight sometime before 1850).

She also adds that:

"You might want her obit from the Portland (ME) Eastern Argus of 16 Nov 1865:

In this city, 14th inst., at the residence of her son-in-law, Mrs. Polly Knight, widow of the late Maj. Dan'l Knight of Westbrook, aged 72 years. Funeral Thursday at 2 o'clock from No. 72 Brackett St.

I tried to track down their headstones in Westbrook, but it looks like they did not survive."
