WICHITA DAILY EAGLE, February 24,1887,p.4 COLUMN THREE
H.W.Knight,representing the proprietor of the panorama or cyclorama in the city for the purpose of determining the feasibility or chances of putting up a permanent building for the exhibition of the BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG on the same plan of the permanent exhibition and building of the same work at Chicago. After looking the ground over, taking in the town and cities tributary to this, he thinks that there can be no doubt touching the success of the enterprisein Wichita. The painting is a grand one worth many thousands of dollars. The permanent circular building will cost between fifteen and eighteen thousand dollars. He is desirous of enlisting some of Wichita's capital in the enterprise which he is satisfied will pay handsomely. It has been suggested that the place for the building would be over in the Riverside Park.
