Joan,
Again, i thank you!
Stangely, my search for my great grandfather, whom I only knew as Jack for 40 years, was hampered because I thought his wife was Elizabeth Patterson!I have a photo labled Elizabeth Knowles and her dauthers Susie and Polly.Since Jack had 2 daughters named Susie and Polly, and since I knew he married a Patteson, and I knew the name Elizabeth Patterson was married to a knowles, I ASSUMED Elizabeth was my great grandma.Bad to assume in family trees I have discovered!
It turns out that Elizabeth was a knowles, but my photo was of his MOTHER and his SISTERS!That makes the photo about 100 years old!
Then I discovered that Elizabeth Patterson and her SISTER, Virginia Adel Patterson had married 2 Knowles brothers, David henry Knowles and Thomas Jackson Knowles. She evidently died very soon after childbirth and was buried in the Ft. White, FL cemetery next to her son, Dean.D.H. re-married Ella Glover. That is why I never connected Elizabeth Patterson with hom.It would make research so much easier if two families weren't so intertwined!
I shouldn't complain, my husbands family has 3 Freeman brothers marrying 3 Rimel sisters!
Your info has been greatly appreciated.I also posted a reply to your next message- so checkit out too!
