I'm interested in your William Knuckey. My Husbands Grandmother was Mary Ellen Knuckey B: abt.1865 in Stithians, Cornwall. She had a brother William Knuckey,B:abt.1859 same place. We know that William came to the U.S.
Went to Butte, Mt. We don't know where he went after that. I do have a picture of him.
It was given to me in England. Mary Ellen came to the U.S. and married Alfred Richards,
(also from Cornwall)in 1889, in Silverton,Colorado (San Juan co.,) Alfred and Mary Ellen's son Ernest Alfred Richards, just died in 1998. He was 98 yrs. old. He's the one that has told his son, Herbert, and myself, about the Knuckey family.He mentioned his Uncle Bill several times.
Our William's parents were James and Mary Ann.James was born abt. 1820. Mary Ann abt. 1825. Do any of the names or dates fit?
