Re: Kosack family in Breslau
my name is Roswitha Ruebner (Rübner).
I am a great- granddaughter of Franz Adolf Julius Kosack, born on the 9th of February 1830, died on the 29th of November, son of Karl Kosag and Luise Scholz.
As a second wife he married Anna Pauline Mathilde Heidenreich, born on the 29th of March 1847, died on the 29th of December 1912.
They had seven children:
Minna, Emma, Gertrud, Meta, Selma, Else and Eugen.
Eugen Otto Karl Kosack, born on the 26th of June 1875, died on the 16th of April 1961, and his wife Luise (born Schlantzke) had nine children:
Erwin, Walter, Erna, Eugen, Erich, Luise, Gerhard, Elli and Martin.
My mother Elli Eckerland (born Kosack) is the last still living granddaughter of Julius.
She can remember an aunt Hulda (not Hilda?) visiting them in Breslau. Furthermore she also knows the names Valeska an Olga but does not remember the names Adolph and Martha but still knows one of these aunts has gone abroad (emigrated).
She still owns two photos:
First one showing her grandfather Julius and the second one very similar (seems as they were takenat the same time and belong together) showing someone not being her grandmother (probably his first wife).
The great- grandkids of Julius Kosack (tree of Eugen Kosack) are mainly living in Germany, Swiss, France, Florida and Australia.
I hope this helps to answer some questions.
In case there are some more do not hesitate to contact me.
