Hi Malcolm,
I have Alexander Koser, b. 27 Sep 1920 in Cumberland Co, PA,s/o Johannes, Jr. and Catherine Thumma Koser. Alex m. 1841 to Hettie A. Atchley, 1822-1865. They had 7 children. Alex m. #2 Caroline B. Gould Hart in 1869 and they have 8 children. Alex is a brother to my line from Isreal Jacob Koser. I have a Mary b. 1856 from the first marriage, who married a John Hart.

He left Cumberland Co in 1840 for Harrisburg, PA. and went into butchering, buying and selling of stock until 1870 when he removed to Johnson Co., IA. He settled in Coralville and bought 470 acres, (Iowa City Twp.) Sec 20 in 1883 per History of Johnson Co. 1836-1882. [F627 I6 D5]
He had 7 Children by his first wife and 8 by his second wife.
He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Coralville, IA. Other family members buried there are Charles (possibly), Mary (possibly), Minnie, Hayes, Phila, and his 2nd wife Caroline. Also possibly Edward (Edy). Source: cemetery index.
