Katherine Krause - Deceased by 1934

By Cyndi Gavin September 18, 2011 at 09:39:58

I am pastor of a church in Illinois that has a German Evangelical history. It was founded in 1886. I'm writing a history of the church and would like to connect with descendants for who artifacts of the church were given back in the early years.

We have a rhinestone cross documented with the words in the record books: "A rhinestone altar cross was given the church for the altar in memory of Katherine Krause by Will Krause in April" (1934).

Additional references to Krause:

Two of the stained glass windows are either in his honor or contributed in part by him to honor another.

Rev. Wm Krause spoke at an anniversary of the church and is noted to have been superintendent of the Bensenville Home for Orphans and the Aged.

There is also a Fred Krause in the old records.

If you have any information to share especially photos, please contact me at [email protected]

Thank you!
Rev. Cyndi Gavin
