POSEN Krieger connection

The Krieger Family

GOTTFRIED KRIEGERwas born circa 1762 and was from the town of Neubuden, Posen, Germany. He died in the evening of 7 December 1830. He was married to Anna Elizabeth Hiller, who was born circa 1766 and died on 10 December 1830 about 6am. Gottfried and Elizabeth died within 3 days of each other of a “pain in the side”. Maybe some type of poison?Son-in-law Christoph Bruch reported both deaths.       

       Children of Gottfried and Elizabeth (Hiller) Krieger (at least two daughters are missing):

i. Anna Rosina Krieger, b: 4 Nov 1797
ii. Anna Louise Krieger, 31 Dec 1799, d: 13 Nov 1823, m: Christoph Bruch
iii. Anna Elizabeth Krieger, b: 14 Feb 1802, m: Christoph Bruch

       Gottfried was a night watchman at the time of Louise’s birth. This was an important job as not only did he call out the hours, he was security as no one locked their doors. At the time of Louise’s death, Gottfried was a tobacco planter.

ANNA DOROTHEA KRIEGER was born in 1761 and died on 29 September 1834. She married Erdman Manthey. Her son, Peter, took care of her in her old age and took over the farm. I do not know for sure if there is a connection between her and the Gottfried Krieger family, but she is probably a sister to Gottfried.

ANNA LOUISE KRIEGER was born on 1 January 1800 in Jankendorf, Posen, Germany. She was the fourth daughter of Gottfried Krieger. She died 13 November 1823 with fever. She married Christoph Bruch on 19 May 1823.
