I believe we are related. Your family history sounds much like mine. My maiden name is Kruger. My grandfather was Ignatius Kruger but his father, my great-grandfather was known on some documents as Anton Krygier and Anton Kruger. The names are similar but the history is exact match.
My great-grandfather Anton Krygier was born in Poland in 1856 and came to America. He was married once before my great-grandmother Julia Bobrowski but we don't know much about the first wife. He lived in West Sumpter, Michigan and married Julia after his first wife passed on. She was the daughter of his neighbor. He was also 34 years older than her.
