Collgren - Pearn - Kullgren Dilemma
I have traced my family back to an 1880 marriage in England between William Collgren (b.1854) and Matilda Daw (b. 1857). William's father is listed as Charles Collgren (deceased). They had 5 children.
I have not been able to find a birth certificate for the first child Amy but census show she would have been born about 1880.
In 1882 a William Collgren is born and in 1884 he dies as William Pearn 2-1/2 years old.
No marriage found to justify a name change.
In 1885 William Ernest Pearn is born.
In 1889 Frederick Stanley Kullgren Pearn is born.
In 1892 James Edward Pearn is born.
William Ernest Pearn is found entering New York in 1907.
In 1920 William Ernest is listed as William Kullgren in census.
A 1927 marriage certificate found for Amy and John Henry White, listing her name as Amy Beatrice Kullgren Pearn.
In 1930 Fred moves to CA and changes his name to Kullgren.
James stayed in Canada as a Pearn.
There are some indications the original William Collgren was born in Sweden.
I know almost all of William's descendants but need help in finding any ancestors.
