_English (Anglais)
My name is Dinae Fafa de Carvalho. I'm Brazilian, my fater is Nilton Schwartz de Carvalho. I live in the city of Vitória, capital of the Estado do Espírito Santo.
I am descending of several Swiss families who migrated to Brazil in the early decades of the nineteenth century (1820 to 1840). Among these families, they are intertwined in Brazil, appear Schwartz (Pont-la-ville), Andrey (Cerniat?), Folly (Villarepos) Cosandey (Rossens) Castella (Gruyère), Gachet (Gruyère) Moullet (Rossens) Fravelinde (?) and Kuenzi (Erlach).
I ascendente Schwartz of the two family branches. The branch direct (familiar name for my Father) origin in Brazil through Jean Schwartz, son of Claude Joseph Schwartz (the patriarch of the family in Brazil) and Claudine Andrey.
The other branch is down Anne Maria Clara Kuenzi, born in Brazil, Nova Friburgo, daughter of Ferdinand Kuenzi (Kunz) and Anne-Marie Schwartz, sister of Jean Schwartz.
My ancestral Ferdinand Kuenzi (also known as Jean Frederic Kuenzi), according to information obtained in Brazil, it was born Erlach, being the son of Samuel Kuenzi and Anne Christie.
Ferdinand Kuenzi (Jean Frederic Küenzi) is returned to Switzerland in establishing business in Neuchâtel, with branches in Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
He returned to Rio de Janeiro, the latter years of his life, where he held the position of Consul of the Swiss Confederation. He is deceased Rio de Janeiro, 1879.
I read in a book of a researcher from the University of Geneva, a descendant of Ferdinand Kuenzi (Jean Frederic Kuenzi) lived in Zollikofen (Berna), in the year 1987. The name of this descendant is MKM Künzi.
Although the nickname Kuenzi (Kunze) is no longer in our family in Brazil, I find Kuenzi descendant of Ferdinand (Jean Frederic Kuenzi) to establish contacts familiar.
