This is not my Kurth line (mine were in Iowa and came to America from Berlin in the 1880's) but I found the following on what appear to be your people:
1930 US Census, Ridgeway, Iowa County, WI.
Julius J. and Florence Kurth are listed.
Also listed with them are:
Julius W. Kurth, age78, born in NY, parents b. Germany, France
1900 US Census, Ridgeway, Iowa County, WI
Julius W. Kurth, born Feb 1852 NY.Parents b. Germany, France
Sarah Kurth, born Mar 1856 NY.Parents b. Ireland
They had been married 18 years
Sarah’s parents were also in household:
James Short, born April 1812 Ireland
Ann Short, born March 1815 Ireland
James Short was shown as immigrating in 1842.No date listed for Ann.
1870 US Census, Pendleton, Niagara County, NY
Matthias Cooer, 49, born Nassau, physician
Barbary Cooer, 48, housekeeping, born France
In household was Julius Cooer, age 18, b. NY
(According to my mother, who was a Kurth, the German pronunciation of the name would be roughly Koort - so Cooer may be an American census takers attempt at spelling the German name based on the pronunciation he heard).
1860 US Census, Amherst, Erie County, NY
M. Kurth, 49, born Germany, “MD”
B. Kurth, 36, born France
In household:
Julius Kurth, age 8, b. NY
Hope this helps.
Best regards
Paul
