Guillaume LaBelle
It is considered common knowledge that Guillaume nd his two brothers were born in St-Eloi Normandy and emmigrated to Canada somewhere around 1667.His parents Jean LaBelle and Marie Loue decided to stay in France. There appears to be a wealth of information about Guillaume and many of his descendants, but it would be nice to know more about his French lineage too.Does anyone have any information?
All I have is:
Guillaume LaBelle.Born abt 1650 in St-Eloi, married in Notre Dame, Montreal on 23-Nov-1671 to Anne Charbonneau, died 1-Jan-1710 (buried 2-Jan-1710) at Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal.
I know he had two brothers than come over with him to Canada, but know nothing of them.
His father, Jean LaBelle, was born in St-Eloi sometime around 1621 (but not sure the exact date) and died in St-Eloi sometime before 1671.In 1650 he married Marie Loue somewhere in France.
His mother, Marie Loue, was born in Lisieux, Normandy (don't know when) and died somewhere in France (don't know where, don't know when.)
I don't know anything about Jean LaBelle's lineage or that of his wife Marie, nor do any have any background on Guillaume's brothers or sisters.
Does anyone have any LaBelle history that dates back further than Guillaume?
