There is much confussion regarding William Lackey of NC.There were two William Lackey's, one marrying a WHITE and moving south. This is the William Lackey of the long Rev. War Pension file. The William Lackey, brother to Thomas and George, was in the Rev. War, but the only evidence found in the NC Archives on him are three pay vouchers, which I have copies of and will gladly share. We can also document our William in the census, tax and land records, all documented in NC.The Wm in the pension died in the 1830's.William Lackey, one of three brothers, died May 1820 and is buried at Vashti, Alexander Co., NC along with his wife Nancy Agnes.
