Laclair and Rousseau families Quebec to Vermont

My son in law's ancestor is Paul Rousseau or Napoleon Rousseau or last name sometimes Brooks. He was born November 1844 in Quebec somewhere.
As per my last couple of posted messages here, I thought that Napoleon was perhaps the son of Augustin Rousseau and Eleonore Ouellet of Ste. Flavie, Rimouski, Quebec.
He was not.
Augustin and Eleonore DID have a son Napoleon who died in 1911 at Rimouski, aged 67 years. His death reg. says he was the brother of Samuel and Israel Rousseau. He is consistently on census records at Rimouski, Quebec.
My son in law's ancestor Napoleon Rousseau immigrated to the USA about 1871-1874 time frame, and lived in Massachusetts, Rutland, Vermont and then Bennington, Vermont, where he was still living up to the 1920 census.
So I am back to the drawing board to figure out who his family of origin is. It is possible his father was a Francois Rousseau- I found a Guillaume Napoleon Rousseau born November 14, 1844 at a place called: St. Francois de la Riviere du Sud. On the birth reg. I cannot make out the name of Guillaume's mother and it would help a lot to know her name, to try to track this particular family. If there is anyone who can read and translate the French birth record for me (it is online at Ancestry.com) I would be very grateful.
Anyone with any additional information, please post here, or write to me directly.
Thanks from Nora
