Pat, I don't know how many times I have tried to answer this but it wouldn't let me post a message, may be my computer.

Yes, William Lacey and Mary Bell Nettles did have a Lucy b.abt.1762 and a Phoebe b.abt 1776-7.I have been doing Lacey research for abt. 30 years and I have never seen where William 1725-35 (Wm. above) was the father of Philemon Lacey 1749-50 lived in Carter Co. TN. I am not saying that he is not his father but never seen any proof.I think they would more apt to be brothers.I have not seen any proof that Philemon was ever in Greenbrier Co. VA, now I am hearing he was.But he could have been.Some day I would like to make a trip up there.I believe that some one has said that William was the father of Philemon and it is now in the records.
