I don't have the answers to your questions, but we are both searching the same Lacy family. My ancestor, Boardvine R. Braswell, b. 1799, supposedly Surry County, NC, named two and possibly three of his sons with the middle name of "Lacy."There was a Blake William Braswell there in Rockingham County around 1800 and also another branch of the same Braswell family over in Isle of Wight and Brunswick Counties, VA.This Blake William Braswell b. ca. 1733-1780 married Mary "Polly" Peebles b. ca 1777 Brunswick, VA, daughter of I believe Hubbard Peebles.I believe this Blake William Braswell wound in LA where there are Lacys also.I do not yet know if this Blake William Braswell is kin to Boardvine R. Braswell, but Rockingham was part of Guilford and Guilford is next door to Surry.I would like to exchange information with you.
