I have found a Benjamin in the 1850 Census in Macomb Co, MI.He appears in the house of his parents Anthony/Arthur and Candis along with William a brother. The same census has a younger Candis in the same area in a different house as servant.I have been looking for these guys for a couple of years.Had Wm. and the parents, but now have two new siblings for Wm. and his older brother Edward which I decend from. They all disappear from Macomb in 1860 census and Wm. appears with wife and mother in his house 1860 in Lapeer as well as the younger Candis with husband and family in Macomb.Benjamin who was born based on census age in 1838 NY, married Hulda last name is not legible in records 1859, but I wasn't able to locate him in the 1860 census. They may be in the house of her parents. But then I located a Benj. in 1870 census Detroit, 1st ward, age 32 born in Canada. So maybe this is your Benj? Mine was definitely born NY. Ila
