Margo, I know a little bit about Willis William Lamb--mostly what I have picked up from census and some other sources and actually have been doing research on him this week. All I know is that he was born in in either 1790 or 1794 in Orange Co.He married Rebecca Slaughter, on 30 Sept. 1807 and lived most of his life in either Orange or Greene, VA.I only have 3 children listed. His oldest, William H. Lamb was born 1815 in Greene. He married Mary in Nov 1824.I have found 3 children from their marriage, ISSAC JACKSON b 16 Mar 1845, Robert H. Lamb b 1850, and Angeline Lamb b. 1853.ISSAC JACKSON married Winnie Frances Morris, d of William Jefferson Morris and Luraney Shifflett 6 Feb 1924.They had I believe 11 children:Lillie Belle b 1869, Clementine b 1871, Jackson b 1873, George William b 1874, Bernard Chapman b 1876, Joseph b 1877, ANNA V. b 1878, Alexandria b 1879, Edgar F b 1880, Ashby b 1885 and Victoria b 1889.ANNA V. LAMB is my g grandmother.Anna gave birth to 22 children, but only 11 children are listed on the census. As a child I heard stories of how sometimes 2 children were "laid-out" at any given time. They lived in Stonewall District, Rockingham Co.Joseph Milton died in 1937 and Anna died in 1968.Joseph Milton was a farmer.I have talked to one of my cousins who lives in the area, and her grandmother, Helen, is my grandmother's sister. My cousin and I have been trying to come up with different facts to put together--wished we had remembered more of the stories we heard as children.Hope this is some help to you.I really would like to find out more about Willis William Lamb
