Robert: thanks for getting back to me.I think we do have two different families, but the similarieties are very queer. My Fred C's father (Henry Julius) came to the US with his mother, sister and another brother. His sister (Mary Jane Lamplough Mathias) is my great great grandmother. My Lamploughs originally came from Yorkshire, where I find most of the Lamplough (Lamplaugh, Lamplugh) names.I've not been able to find them entering the US, but your reference to H.J.'s arrive in NY in 1882 is very interesting (that would be Fred's father).May I ask where you found it?I've ordered Fred's death certificate, so hopefully that will give me a better direction to follow.I've previously found all your other references, and appreciate your vertification.Haven't been able to find him in 1930 either, but in the 1920 census, he's living with his brother (Ambrose Henry) in a boarding house (per a city directory).
Looking forward to hearing where you found the emmigration info -- thanks!!!
