Re: ancestors of Pierre Lamy, b. 1646
You may have found out more by now from another source.
I have at least one generation back, from information found at the Canadian American Genealogical Library in Manchester NH.I may have more generations, but have not gotten everything updated in my database yet, so who knows?
Anyway, Pierre's parents were Clément Lamy and Anne Taillant, according to the book, Les Vieilles Familles D'Yamachiche Volume I, by F.L.DeSaulniers.I believe it was written in 1892, although I have a question mark after that, I'm not sure why.The Lamy info was on pages 30, 54, 63, and 78.We have digital pics of the pages, which my husband could probably get somewhere that you could look at. You canmake them bigger so the information is very clear, but we probably only took pictures in his direct line.
Again, I might go further back, but have not finished processing all the great data we got from just one day at that Library.Pierre, born 1646, was my husband's 8th Great Grandfather. His Lamys ended up in Manchester NH for a while, then in Pittsfield, MA.
Hope this helps.Let me know if you want access to the pics: I'll put my husband on that!
