I would suggest tho that there is a strong liklihood this is the same man. I beleive you mentioned Ardmore, and Carter County, OK? Mary's father is alleged to have died here.

I have photos (somewhere) of Mary Craighead Landreth and some children. Color photocopies; unsure of where the originals are but I think I might know where.....

Do you not know where James ended up then?

The places I know that the Cragheads were in this timeframe include Logan Co., Arkansas- (on the Arkansas River downstream from Fort Smith,) and in Sequoyah Co, OK, (upstream of Fort Smith.)

Have never been able to find anyone on the Landreth line. Where in Texas were they again? I have this branch being in Texas prior to 1880, and again in the early 20th century.
