Re: Mary Landreth B.1822, North Carolina

I'm not sure where the information came from that Mary Long was born near Hillsborough, North Carolina.

She is the sister of my g,g,g grandpa Tobias Long. Both he and Mary were born in present day Alleghany County, N. C. When she was born, this area was in Ashe County.

The Landreth family lived just a few miles away. Many families from this area around the North Carolina and Virginia State border migrated to Owen County, Indiana in the early to mid 1800's. Mary moved to Murcer County, Illinois with some of her children following the death of Solomon.
