I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for you.However, I have some information that might help your search.My research has been with Samuel Landrum, one of seven sons of John Landrum II (about 1696 to 1774).I don't think Samuel's line will help you, but you might get some clues from two of his brothers.One brother, Thomas, did not leave Virginia when John and 6 of his sons went to North Carolina.Thomas supposedly went to Georgia instead.So maybe your Thomas W. can be connected to this Thomas.Also, another brother Reuben had a son named James and supposedly, James married a Cherokee woman.Maybe this will help.Good luck!
