Landrums in North Florida 1900's
I need any information on James and Alice S. Landrum from Branford, Florida.early 1900's.They are buried in the Oak Grove Cem. in Branford.James had a lumber mill there and Alice had 8 or 9 children all born in Branford. The childrens names were Eula, Mary, Willie, Florie, Martha, Susie, Edna, Alma and Jim {james}. James was born in 1865 and Alice 1872. She was Alice S. Keel.
What I need to know is if James Landrum was Joseph Landrum's son and from which of Joseph's 3 or 4 wives did James come from?.Joseph was born 1818.Maybe he was not his Father.
My Grandmother was Susie {Alice S. Landrum} born in 1905. She married Hunter Smallwood and had my Father Bobby edward Smallwood in 1930 in Hudson florida. She called herself Suzie Mae Smallwood in 1930. She remarried to Jim Swails and changed my fathers name. She changed her name about 10 times trying to find her Cherokee hertiage. I am trying to apply for citizenship to the Cherokee Nation for my father. He is 75 years old now and this is all he wants before he dies.... Can anyone help me?
