Hello,
My name is Lori, I am a descendent of Rebecca Landrum Sturgis b 1847 in GA and d 1943. She was said to be a child of Cherokee descent.I have heard different stories, one was she was a child of a poor family and was taken in by neighbors.Her family was descended from a tribe of the trail of tears and was affraid to be listed on the indian roles.
I welcome any information, and would share pictures of her.
