My name is Jona Landrum Hackner. I am the granddaughter of Walter Landrum of Foreman, AR. His father was Jones James Columbus Landrum b. 2-20-1879. He told me his father' mother, my great, great grandmother, was a Cherokee woman who died giving birth. J.J.C. Landrum was then taken by his father who hid with him so the Cherokee tribe would not take the baby to be raised in the tribe. This story my grandpa told me many times and has lead me to seek my Native heritage as well. Could you tell me how you established your Cherokee roots?
