What is provable is that William Brown Jr had a wife named Margaret by at least December 1715 when he made one of several deeds selling land inherited from his father. He was always able to sign his name, unlike his father who make a conjoined WB mark. The last deed reference that clearly belongs to this younger William Brown is 9 Nov 1723 in which Margaret also relinquishes dower.

There is a deed dated 12 March 1741 in which Benjamin Noel sells 400 acres to one William Brown, but I do not know if it could be the same William Brown as I found no evidence of him in between 1723 and 1741.I did not track later Essex deeds to see what came of this land.

I also noted that on 26th April 1748 one "Margaret Brown" made her mark as witness to the deed of Edward Donohoe to his mother Elizabeth Donohoe.(Edward Donoho's sister,Elinor, had married Cornelius Noell, son of Daniel.)This may or may not be the same Margaret married to Wm Brown Jr?

I probably took the word of Noell researchers that the above Margaret was the dau of Thomas and Mary Noell Cloutsome. It was not my own conclusion.Wm Brown Jr clearly had a wife named Margaret by 7 Dec 1715.
