Thanks again.Interesting stuff, indeed!

Per some of the "files/charts" on RootsWeb WorldConnect, it appears that James Landrum's brother John D. Landrum "I" married Jane Evans, and they had a son named John D. Landrum "II" who married a Mary (Mary Buckner, per at least one of the "files/charts", as I recall).So....it was probably this last couple who were the John Landrum and his wife Mary who were selling land to someone who lived in Caroline Co., VA in the late-1720s, per that Spotsylvania deed that I posted earlier.

I guess we have no actual "hard proof" as to which/whose William Brown TRULY married Mary Cloutson....but like you, I would certainly not be surprised if it was William Brown, Junior (son of William "Senior" who married Elizabeth Allen, plus two other women), versus the son of Charles Brown (died about 1747) who was also named William Brown (but who knows for sure)?Maybe the William Brown who was married to a Dorothy (and associated with a John Noel) was William Brown "III,"(a son of William Brown, Junior)....or maybe just as (more?) likely, he was perhaps the son of Charles Brown. As stated previously, the family of the Charles Brown who died about 1747 married into the Noel family on three known occasions, so any "connections" between that Brown family and the Noel family would certainly not be surprising.

Whether the earlier/older Charles Brown (married to a Susannah (Berry?) and died by the 1720s; he had sons named William and Edward), and/or the second/later/younger Charles Brown (married to an Elizabeth and died about 1747; he had sons named William, Daniel, Berriman and Merriday), were related to William Brown, Senior, Junior and "III,"I do not know.IF (and that is a very "big if" at this time) William Brown, Senior, Junior and "III" were, in fact, members of DNA "Group 69" (as seems like at least a possibility to me), then they were NOT related to the family of Charles Brown and Berriman Brown (whose living male Brown descendant is in another "group," whose "group number" escapes me right now).

Note: A Charles Brown was in a court case against Buckingham Brown in Essex Co., VA in 1710.Buckingham Brown has descendants who are in yet another "DNA group," so Buckingham Brown was not related to "my" DNA "Group 10," nor to the family of DNA "Group 69," nor to the family that included the second/younger Charles Brown and his son Berriman Brown.

By the way, the following shows that the Elizabeth who married a William Brown, then an Evan Morgan and finally a James Taylor was Elizabeth DARNALL, and NOT an Elizabeth Allen (so that book apparently really "blew it" on this issue, as well):

In any case, I assume that the William Brown who married Elizabeth Darnall still COULD have been the William Brown who was older than William Brown "Senior" (William "Senior" was the one shown as "the younger" in some records, per your input).
