Re: Lena Langdon dau of James

It would be helpful to know something more about John Heenan Langdon and wife Martilla S. Carr such as where they lived & approximately when they were born. Were they married by the time of the 1880 census? Sometimes little bits of information provide the clues needed to unlock the lineage.

As I mentioned before James R & Elizabeth (Armstrong) Langdon had a daughter Lena E Langdon, b 9 March 1866. This couple lived in Crawford Co., PA then moved to Ashtabula Co., OH by 1890. James & Elizabeth also had a son William Russell Langdon who had a daughter Lena born 12 July 1889(Civil War Pension, SC #517441). Apparently this was a name used several times in this family.
