Richard is on the 1880 census at Huntingdon, Huntingdon Co., PA, p158C. His first wife Ann/Nancy Denithorne died in 1878 and he was now married to a lady named Sallie. Ann was born in Penzance, England, 22 January 1830, a daughter of John and Ann (Bartol) Denithorne. The Denithornes came to the US in 1848 and settled at Phoenixville, Chester Co., PA, where the father was a stone mason.
Material on these Langdons can be found in the History of the Juanita Valley (NY: Lewis Historical Publishing Co., 1913) by John W. Jordan, pages 798-800. This article says that Richard's father was Richard Langdon, born Penzance, Cornwall, England. He was a miner and came to the US about 1835 and settled at Pottsville, PA. He is on the 1870 census at Minersville, Schuylkill Co., PA, p67. He died about 1873, at Minersville, PA. His children were Jane, Samuel, Mary, Richard, and Jesse W Langdon.
Richard Langdon Jr. was born Penzance, Cornwall, England, 19 March 1830 and died in Philadelphia, PA in 1890. His children were:
*Samuel, d. Philadelphia, a coal operator
*Elizabeth, m. James C. Long & res. Philadelphia
*Richard, d. 1878
*John, b. 18 May 1856, Schuylkill Co., PA; m. 1879 Annie H Katherine Zeth & they are on the 1880 census at Broad Top, Bedford Co., PA, & the 1910 census at Huntingdon Co., PA
*Mary, m. Harry A. Jacobs, & res. Hollidaysburg, PA
*William Denithorne, res. Bedford Co., PA
*Annie, m. Charles A. Coyle, & res. Philadelphia.
