I don't know if I'm going to be much help either.My 3 great grand father was Johann Christian Lange, Married Catharina Dorothea Ahrens in Germany and emigrated to Nelson, New Zealand I don't know their dates of birth or marriage but they had a son in Germany before emmigrating.he was Christopher Lange born 1827.My 2 great grandfather. Married to Elizabeth Katerina Wilhelmina Balck b. 1838 I have a further 4 generations of her lineage.I was wondering if there was any connections between my Johann and yours.
