Donald, there are just too many John Langhornes' out there! However, according to the Colonial Families of the Southern States of America, page 316; JOHN LANGHORN who was in the House of Burgess in 1675, married ANNE WADE, d/o Armiger, Jr.Then, the JOHN LANGHORNE who was in the House of Burgess in 1748 married Mary Beverly, d/o Hon. William Beverly. He is known as John III. The John who married Anne, according to this record, was the second son of Francis and Leticia Vychan. The Compendium of American Genealogies, page 169, agrees on the John and Anne marriage, but the years are not the same:they list John as being the son of yet another John, and born in 1672/73 with Ann being born in 1674.This last John was married secondly to Elizabeth unknownand 3rd to Dorothy Moulson. It then lists his son, John, b. ca. 1695 as being married to Mary (Rice?)....listed just like that. The Beverly's pop up on down in this line, too. So.We have way too many John's here. The Colonial Families book states that John (m. A. Wade) was "in the company with Col. Wm. Byrd and Col. Robert Beverly...".I know that probably neither book is completely honest, but it would be a stretch to have two John Langhornes married to two Mary Wades in two generations, wouldn't it?As to Mary Rice, I found nada.Do you know when she was born?
