Re: Thomas Langley, Kent Co., DE
Dave and I have been "chatting" through e-mail, and I needto point out that there is no proof that this Thomas Langley died young in Delaware. Dave's first message about Thomas appears to assume that.
Dave has Deeds to show that Thomas and a wife named Esther sold their Kent County (DE) land, then we agree that theydisappeared from Delaware records. He thinks her maiden name may be Jackson, and they were friends with Kent County Seaneys who may have all emigrated together from Kent County, Maryland.
I then went to copy these Deeds myself at Kent (DE) Administration Building, and can now assure you there is no Will nor Inventory filed for either of them there, nor at the Delaware Archives. Therefore they must have left the State after the sales.
This Thomas, and the New Castle County DE /SoutheasternPennsylvania "early Langleys" may well relate to my South Jersey gang. To discuss Langleys of ANY part of Delaware, prior to 1925, please both post here and include a copy to [email protected] -- Delaware Dolores (Langley)
