Stephen Lapham's Second Wife, Lydia Thompson

Stephen Lapham married Lydia Thompson 18 Feb 1856 in Kane County, Illinois. The 1860 census shows a blended family of Laphams and Thompsons. Does anyone know if Stephen and Lydia had children? When did Stephen die? I believe this Lydia [--?--] Thompson Lapham was my second great grandfather's last wife and I'm trying to connect everything. She married Sanford Ackerman 31 Mar 1872 in Boone County, Iowa.
