Windsor Lapham was born in Scipio, Cayuga Co., NY in 1800. In 1824 he married ELMIMA DUNHAM. At the age of twenty-seven he removed to Chautauqua Co., NY, and from there to Covington, Wyoming Co., NY. Mr. Lapham's parents were both natives of Rhode Island. His mother's maiden name was Thankful Smith. His father was born in 1760; his mother four years later. They removed to Cayuga Co., NY, and from there to the locality of their present residence.
