Just Starting and need lots of guidance

Hello: Obviously I'm searching for info on my father's family. My father was Neil Anthony Lapham, born in Port Arthur, TX 17 August 1923, died Nov 1995. His Father was Roy S. Lapham and I believe he came from Rockport, OH, in Cuyahoga County.
Roy Lapham was born in 1879 and died in 1933 in Texas. I found a record of a Ray Lapham in Cuyahoga county in the 1880 census who was 7 months of age at that time. I think this is my grandfather Roy. The census shows an older brother named George, who was indeed the oldest of my father's uncles.
The head of household is shown in the 1880 census as Orsan Lapham, however I think this should have been Owen T. Lapham. The wife is Mary. I also found info regarding a Bessie M. Lapham who was born 12 Nov 1882. This was my great-aunt (my father's aunt). Her mother is shown as Mary Hird (which fits information I've gotten from family members) and her father is Owen T. Lapham. I suspect that Owen is correct and that Orsan is a transcription error.
