The marriage record in Champaign County, Ohio is in Book A, page 93.Unfortunately when I was at that courthouse I missed looking this one up and all I have is a transcript from the Gene Society which lists her as a Sargent. It also states they were both of lawful age which would indicate she was born about 1800.
As for the Elizabeth in the 1850 census.I believe this is the one we are concerned with and also believe the enumerator made a mistake.
The 1820, 30 qnd 40 census agree with the above year idea in that they all indicate a range of 1800-1810.I wonder if the 1850 should actually be 47=1803.
In my previous I stated there might be a grave in Allen County but based on this new info for Lydia Walton marriage in Union I would bet the grave is in Union County.
Do you live anywhere near there to check?
Don't know if you are aware of it but we have a Barbara Largent, born abt. 1806 who married Jacob Sibole/Sibold.
We don't know the parentage of this female either. She too was born in Virginia, probably in the area that is now Hampshire County, WEST Virginia, which is where the Champaign County, Ohio branch came from.It is entirely possible that Barbara and Elizabeth were sisters and/or that James and Jacob were brothers.
This would be a nice one to figure out.
