Re: Sibold Largent wedding 1818 Champaign Co, Ohio?
Yes - I've seen the Jacob Sibole & Barbara Largent record and wondered if there might be a connection to James & Elizabeth. I'm guessing that Jacob might be a nephew of James Sibole. I agree about the 1850 census, Elizabeth Sibole born in VA age 41, it seems likely they have her age wrong in the census. I'm in CA so not likely that I'll get to Ohio to look up the records...but maybe I can get something from the vital records office..
In case you have not seen this, I am copying below a post from the SIBOLE listserv:
"From a recent visit to the Chillicothe, OH library and cemetery: Scioto Gazette, Wed., August 17, 1881 (a weekly newspaper) DIED:Sibolt, In Scioto township, August 10th, of dropsy, Barbara A. Sibolt.
"McDill Cemetery Tombstone Inscription:

"Information told by John William Sibole (1848-1930) and written down by his daughter, Nell Sibole Topping, indicates that his parents (Jacob and Barbara Largent Sibole) came to Ohio in 1866.Their oldest son, James,
was ill and not expected to live. His wife was expecting a child and he sent for them to come.He died (Aug. 4, 1866) before they arrived."
