Nellie M. WEAKLY, age 100 years, of Wymore, died Wednesday morning, May
10,
2006, at the Parkview Center in Beatrice. She was born December 10,
1905, at
Gilead. Nell was a 1924 graduate of Holmesville High School. She
married Lew
F. WEAKLY on November 22, 1926, at Fairbury. Together, Nell and Lew
farmed
for over 25 years near Virginia, then farmed near Blue Rapids, Kan.,
from
1951 to 1970, when they moved to Wymore. Nell's hobbies included
children
and her pet dogs.
She is survived by a sister, May RADEBAUGH of Fairbury; by nieces and
nephews; by special friends, Bob and JoAnn Poutre of Wymore, and their
children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Fredrick H. and Edna (LASH) HARMS; by her husband, Lew, on February 13,
1993; by a brother and two sisters.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at the
Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, 505 N. Ninth St., Wymore. Burial will be
at
the Wymore Cemetery at a later date. There will be no viewing and a
register
book will be available for signing at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 9
p.m.
Sunday. Memorial to the Blue Springs Ball Diamond Association with the
funeral home in charge. Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, is in
charge
of arrangements.
