In the name of Almighty God Amen------- I Thomas Latture, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory and in view of the shortness of life, and the certainty of death do make and publish this my last will and testament in the words and figures following that is to say I give back my soul to God, who gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came, And that my body shall have a descent Christian burial and my funeral expenses paid out of any means on hands At the time of my death. 2nd- It is my will and desire that my brother James Latture, shall have full power and content of also the land we now own and have in our possession both in Sullivan County and State of Tenn. and Scott County Virginia, together with the proceeds and Notes of the same for the support of himself and his two sisters, Elizabeth Latture, and Susanna Latture. Also the undivided household and kitchen furniture of every kind and character whats so ever either in beds and bedding, one clock, tables, or any thing else connected therewith all the stock of horses, cattle, sheep, and hogs which may be on the farm all the farming utentials consisting in wagons plows, hoes, and harrows, & set black smith tools, all the bees on hand also set of same & great mill irons and one pair of mill stones & is to have and to hold the same during his Natural life time. 3rd- It is my will and desire after the death of my beloved brother James Latture, that my undivided interest in the different tracts of land which I am lawfully seized and possessed of by deed and the devise of my fathers will as fully set forth by butts and bounds in said titles shall descend to my beloved brother Joseph Latture, and his heirs forever. Also all my undivided interest in all the personal property of every kind to have and to hold the same. It is further specified and provided that my said beloved brother Joseph Latture, shall take immediate possession of the lands which I have this day bequeathed unto him and his heirs forever at the death of my said brother James Latture------ In order to carry out this my last will and testament I Nominate and appoint James M. Latture, my sole Executor revoking all former will or wills by me made at any time and publishing this to be my last will and testament in the presence of us subscribing witnesses.
