Re: Wisconsin Lauers ancesters from Saarburg

I don't know, if there is any connection to Wisconsin. But, my gggreatgrandfather whose name was also Michael Lauer left for the US with a nephew named Peter Lauer. They weren't directly from Saarburg but from a village which is about 20 miles away from there (Wadrill). I don't know if further family members went together with them (Nikolaus was a very commomn name in the Lauer family). I have a letter where Peter wrote about the problems they had at the very beginning. I'd be curious to know what happened with them.
