Re: William Lawless, 1822, Maryland/Missouri

Terrific Information. Jonathan Lawless and Martha Lawless were my ggrandparents. Martha was apparently married initially to George Leach..children Mary, Becca, and Henrietta Leach. Jonathan and Martha had 4 children: Owen B. Lawless 1881, John W. Lawless 1879, Bill(Wake)Lawless 1884, and Addie Lawless 1877(my grandmother). All born in Mo. near Bean Lake (Iatan, Mo.)
I have heard that Jonathan Lawless spent 10 years in prison for killing a James English, but he pleaded not guilty. I haven't found anything to confirm.
