Barnes Lawson, ca. 1794 Virginia

I'm seeking information on Barnes Lawson, born ca. 1794 in Virginia. I believe he may have been the father of my great-great-grandfather, William Lawson, born ca. 1820 in Virginia.
William Lawson married Rachel Jewell in Greene County, Indiana and moved to Clear Lake Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, where he died in 1869.
William seems to have had a brother, Barnes Lawson, born ca. 1816, who was living in Clear Lake Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, in the 1870 census. This Barnes married a Mary and they had three sons: Edward, Charles and Henry.
