Sorry for the delay in replying to your welcome response, but I have been away from home for a couple of weeks and just arrived back.

I am delighted to hear from you as this branch of my family tree appears to have a mystery to my parents who didn't seem to know (or prefered not too) what happened to my Great Uncle James William Lawton who apparently was a Professional Vocalist and the father of William Alfred Lawton.

I would be happy to share all the family history I have collated on William Alfred's ancestors if we can definately establish a link between our 'Lawton' families.
