Rev Thomas Lazzell born in Mass about 1753, He lived in Philadelphia,Pa. He departed to become one of the first settlers of the cassdistrict, monongalia county, va, now wva. he was a farmer & Methodist minister. land grants are recorded in richmond va library. He built a log cabin in 1773. he married 1st: Hannah beck at dover mass about 1772. hannah was born in 1758, she died in philadelphia,pa 28 jan 1819. thomas 2 wife: Mrs Nancy (scott) summers. DShe died in ohio. thomas died 30 april 1825 and is buried with his first wife at the lazzell cemetery in monongalia county, w Va His will is in the monongalia co (W Va will book Vol 1 Page 17.
