Hi, Bob:Yes, I am familiar with the same information that has been handed down in our apparent mutual Lazzell/Lazzelle family in WV, but am looking for documentation to prove this information CORRECT.So far, I too, have only found Thomas Lazzell's Monongalia Co. WV WILL, Lazzell Cemetery near Maidsville in Cass District and the Richmond, VA land grants.I found some Philadelphia, PA WILLS, but the dates nor first names fit our Thomas Lazzell, but this, at least, is encouraging finding the surname in 1700's Philadelphia.I also found in Monongalia Co., WV pre-1800 court records the name of Jon Lazzell, perhaps possible relation to our Thomas Lazzell. Also, I have never found a reference that our Thomas L. was a Methodit minister; this has just been handed down in my family.I descend from Thomas Lazzell's son, Thomas Lazzell (1787-1867)who married Rebecca Bowlby (1790-1842); they are both buried at the Lazzell Cemetery too.I am delighted that you contacted me; I am only aware of my cousin and myself that sporadically is attempting research on our Lazzell family. Where do you fit in?Susan Ulfers Campbell in GA
