Re: British Lazzari's ?

Hi to all Lazzari's.
my Great,grandmother was Catherine b.1863, she always prononced her name as Glazzari, Gladsery or Ladsery, all of them untracable. The nearest I have come across is a Catherine Lazzari b.1863 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Catherine married John Burrell in 1881 & they lived at Wingate before moving to South Shields. On the 1891 & 1901 Census's she states her place of birth as Newcastle, although the family story is that she was Italian. I have just sent away for the Lazzari Birth certificate so at the moment I do not know who her parents were. Does anyone out there know anything about the Lazzari's in Newcastle, like where they are from? Any comments wellcome.

ps. Not many of the Ray family of South Shields have the dark brown eyes & hair that was passed on by Catherine, I have, and so was named after her.
